Advertising: Ad Management

ASSIGNED was founded by an advertiser that was frustrated by all other project management solutions when building creative. Copy would come from one person, photos would come from another person and it would need review from someone else before requiring yet another person to add audiences, set up UTM’s and create the campaigns. The frustration wasn’t that the project management tools couldn’t handle it. Most do that part just fine. However they begin to break down when, one, you work with external teams, and two, each tasks needs more fields to work with (like photo assets, copy, audience name, UTM’s & campaign Name). The foundation of ASSIGNED is to allow a company to “assign anything to anyone.” That means any task, lead, request or anything else you can think of, can be assigned to a person using just their email. And in the case for adds, we built the system so that structured data like the additional fields mentioned above could persist without needing to first format them in a description box or an email. Whether it’s a digital display, native placement or a bulletin (shout out to OOH), ASSIGNED allows a company to make assignments to anyone with an email in order to complete the campaign. Below is an example of how ASSIGNED can adapt to an advertising company.

Adapting Assignments to Advertising

Items in our platform start generic. At its core is an assignment. Assignments can be organized into projects and everything can be further organized into folders. While there are many ways to go about this, we have adapted the platform above to an ad firm by defining these objects as the following:

Folder = Medium

Project = Platform

Project Folder = Placement

Assignments = Ad Campaign

In order to ensure the right people are notified with the correct information, all 4 items indicated above can be assigned to anyone. In this case, ASSIGNED allows for multiple people in charge of a platform (such as Facebook) to be assigned tasks that get organized under their platform while still allowing for the company to see tasks across platforms.

Unlimited Folders for Endless Organization.

Whether you’re making one project for just yourself, or a hundred for everyone in the ad department, our searchable sidebar will have you at Monica level organization in no time. This means scalable management of as many different ads and platforms as you may want to create.

Unlimited, Unique Fields

In our experience, every ad platform has its own set of requirements in order to publish an add. Facebook Has two places for text, will twitter has one. Unlike the other platforms, Pinterest ads have a separate title requirement and tiktok ads doesn’t have anything but an asset. All of these differences can be confusing and only add to the complexity when creating tasks. ASSIGNED allows for unlimited, unique fields for each project you create. This makes for a more organized assignment and focuses work on only what’s required for the platform.
